Support Services / Customs & Warehousing

International transport is more than moving cargo between two points.

Before and after the main transport leg, cargo may need collection from multiple suppliers, storage, consolidation, repacking, and document coordination. These stages must be planned as one chain to reduce delays and avoidable costs.

Service Scope / 06

Six service areas, coordinated in one operational plan.

01 / CUSTOMS

Customs & Documents

Reviewing documents and coordinating customs and transit formalities with the relevant brokers.

02 / WAREHOUSE

Warehousing & Storage

Temporary storage matched to the cargo type, customs status, and facilities available on the route.

03 / CONSOLIDATION

Cargo Consolidation

Collecting from multiple suppliers and preparing the goods for one combined shipment.

04 / DECONSOLIDATION

Cargo Deconsolidation

Separating goods by order, consignee, bill of lading, or onward destination.

05 / VALUE ADDED

Value-Added Preparation

Palletizing, repacking, strapping, stretch-wrapping, and labelling.

06 / CONTAINER & CFS

Container & CFS Operations

Stuffing and stripping full containers and commercial LCL cargo inside consolidated containers at CFS terminals.

01 / CUSTOMS & DOCUMENTS

Commercial documents, transport documents, and the actual cargo must match.

Differences in package count, weight, commodity description, or supporting documents can stop a file and create additional costs.

Common Shipment Documents

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • Bill of lading
  • Certificate of origin
  • HS code
  • Commodity permits
  • Transit documents
  • Warehouse receipt
  • Export or import documents
  • Special-cargo documents

The exact requirements depend on the country, commodity, customs procedure, and actual route.

PRE-CHECK

Pre-Arrival Check

When included in the agreed scope, the commodity name, package count, weight, invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and country of origin are reviewed for obvious discrepancies.

WAREHOUSE RECEIPT

Warehouse Receipt & Registration

The cargo owner, shipment description, package count, weight, transport vehicle, and storage location may be recorded on the warehouse receipt and must match the transport documents.

CLEARANCE SCOPE

Customs Formalities & Clearance Coordination

Official customs services require different licences and structures in each country. Where available, coordination is handled through the operating network and relevant brokers, with the exact scope of responsibility defined from the outset.

TRANSIT

Transit Procedure

Moving goods through one country to another final destination requires review of the origin, destination, route, entry and exit borders, documents, transport equipment, and commodity restrictions.

02 / WAREHOUSING

Before selecting a warehouse, we need to know why the cargo is stopping.

Waiting for onward transport, completing documents, consolidating orders, and separating cargo for several destinations each require a different type of space.
GENERAL

General Warehousing

For temporary storage of goods that need no special customs or temperature conditions.

CUSTOMS STATUS

Customs-Status Warehousing

For goods whose customs procedures are incomplete; suitable facilities depend on the country, terminal, and route.

SHORT TERM

Short-Term Storage

For awaiting other cargo, completing documents, or coordinating onward transport, with planned receiving, release, and handling.

OPEN YARD

Open Yard & Project Cargo

For machinery, structures, and equipment requiring outdoor space, crane access, or special loading methods.

To select the right space, we assess:

  • Cargo type and characteristics
  • Weight and dimensions
  • Packaging type
  • Storage period
  • Receiving and release method
  • Environmental conditions
  • Equipment access
  • Customs status

SUPPORTING SERVICES

Some files require additional control and protection.

INSURANCE

Insurance Review

Carrier liability is not the same as cargo insurance. Value, commodity type, route, transport mode, exclusions, and coverage limits must be checked against the actual policy.

INSPECTION

Specialist Inspection

Where quantitative, qualitative, or specialist inspection is required, coordination with the relevant companies and authorities can be assessed for the specific file.

WEIGHING

Weighing

Some shipments require an official or operational weight at different stages of transport, warehousing, or customs processing.
